Professor Adrian Baddeley
Mathematics and Statistics
University of Western Australia

Adrian Baddeley works on statistical methods for analysing spatial data, digital images, and geometrical information. He is interested both in theoretical aspects and in practical applications, particularly spatial data analysis, digital image processing, stereology in biological and materials science, and statistical software. His most recent book is 'Stereology for Statisticians' (with Eva Jensen).

Prof Baddeley currently holds a chair in Statistics at the University of Western Australia, and a senior fellowship at CSIRO Mathematical and Information Sciences. He graduated from the Australian National University and the University of Cambridge. He is a past winner of the Pitman Medal, Hannan Medal and the Australian Mathematical Society Medal, and is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Science.
