ANZIAM,
a division of the Australian Mathematical Society,
is the professional association for industrial and applied
mathematics in Australia and New Zealand. The annual conference of
ANZIAM is an established gathering of
applied mathematicians, scientists and engineers, which will be hosted
by the West Australian Branch in 2007. The venue is the Esplanade Hotel in the historic
port city of Fremantle in Western Australia.
Contributed talks and posters on all areas of applied mathematics are welcome for inclusion in the conference abstracts. Students talks are especially encouraged and will be eligible for the T.M. Cherry Prize, named in
honour of the distinguished Australian mathematician
Sir Thomas Macfarland Cherry.
On Monday, January 29, there will be a special Statistics Day incorporated into the meeting to highlight the relevance and interaction of statistical analysis with the applications of applied mathematics.
